Job Description

part-time (0.8 FTE - 64 hours per pay period) 1st Job Summary: Perform an assessment of the patient based on the physician's diagnosis/instructions and implement a treatment program specific to the patient's needs. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Demonstrated ability to read, write, and clearly communicate in the English language. Skill in establishing and maintaining good relationships with patients, families, Rehab staff, and medical staff. Ability to perform all aspects of patient care as a physical therapist. Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations. Education: Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or related Bachelor's Degree with certification in Physical Therapy or a Master's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited college or university with program accredited by the A.P.T.A. Experience: Prior experience is preferred. License/Certification/Registration: Must be licensed in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania or another state and be eligible for Pennsylvania licensure by reciprocity or licensure by examination. New graduates must receive a temporary license prior to beginning work and abide by the regulations that apply. Must have health provider CPR certification or obtain certification within 90 days of employment. Professional Affiliations: APTA and PPTA memberships encouraged. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Requires full range of motion and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance and up to 100 pounds with assistance. Must be able to stand, walk, kneel, ascend/descend steps, and lift, manipulate, and transfer patients. Requires manual dexterity, eye-hand coordination, and corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Requires working under stressful conditions at times. May be exposed to communicable diseases and/or body fluids. May require work schedule changes and/or additional hours may be requested. Works in clean, well-lighted areas.
