Gluten allergy is an allergic condition that is acquired due to excess of protein content that is present in gluten. Gluten is the name of the type of protein that is present in wheat, rye, barley etc. when the body gets in reaction to this protein at excess amount it produces harm to the intestine and becomes complex for the body to absorb nutrients that are available digested food.

Gluten allergy is also referred to as celiac disease which is not easily identified as that of the other diseases. Symptoms of gluten allergy are tough to identify as they show problem in the gut that is diarrhea. People with gluten allergic conditions are to avoid baked products that are obtained from grains and flours such as breads, cakes, cookies, flour tortillas and pizza dough.

The symptoms of gluten allergy are not clearly identified; here are some of the symptoms given for reference.

Diffuse symptoms: Depression, anemia and joint pains are the signs of diffuse symptoms.

Known symptoms: Stomach problems with gas pain, constipation, bloating, diarrhea and abdominal ache are the major symptoms.

Hidden Symptoms: Some of the symptoms include difficulty in breathing, skin infections with rashes and general stomach pain and common indigestion.

Some of the other symptoms include a close watch to the change in the stool appearance with foul smell, light colored that are oily and greasy and floats, which means fat content is not absorbed completely. Gluten allergy is followed by skin rash, dermatitis herpetiformis, these rashes are observed in knees, elbows and buttocks region which is awfully itchy and forms swelling eruptions.

Effects of unnoticed symptoms can lead to more serious problems such as rectum cancer and also a number of diseases that are more dangerous when left untreated on time. Pregnant women suffer from premature or lesser weight baby births. Untreated gluten allergies lead to more serious problems that are more harmful to the internal organs.

Gluten allergy symptoms are to be identified on time at the initial stage to avoid complications in the treatmental procedures. Continual headaches and fatigue is the first stage while this leads to weakness of the immune system and malnourished with development of anemic condition and osteoporosis is observed. The bones are affected due to lack of calcium and vitamin D absorption. In children Paleness, irritation, stunted growth happens as proper nutrient is not provided to the body to meet its need, once the allergy is untreated on time it may lead to severe case of cancer.
